Word of Mouth Client Relations
About a month ago, I was struck with the realization that I needed to get out and do more PM work on my own. I’d been doing some Freelance writing and it’d gone o.k., but I didn’t go back to school to focus on writing and besides, I’m no writer. I write here and I do some writing at work, but my passion isn’t writing…my passion is PM work and agile web development. It’s why I have that new set of nifty letters behind my name.
Thankfully, I’ve had the opportunity to work with some really great teams and the result of that partnership has landed me squarely in the middle of another great project, which I accepted last night.
The project, the first of which has required me to sign and NDA which covers project specifics, is really exciting. What’s more exciting is that there is someone out there (who shall truly remain nameless, but who is totally getting dinner on me some time very soon) who recommended me. Someone who thinks I’m great at what I do.
That, my friends, is a great feeling. A feeling I’ve been missing for a long, long time.
I’m really excited!
In the middle of all this awesomeness, I’ve been working with a really talented graphics gal and a super fantastic and easy to work with web developer to get my own personal site up and running. We did the ‘once over’ last night and it’s really looking amazing. I’m super excited to launch what will become my ‘face and name’ in the coming weeks. Stay tuned, I’ll announce it here first!
I’m heading off to face my day on cloud 9. Have a great day everyone

If You Could Have…
If you could have one spigot in your home that dispensed any liquid suitable for human consumption, what would it dispense?
Some clarification:
- The liquid must be suitable for human consumption. (Read: you must be able to drink it.)
- This would be an addition of one spigot in your home, anywhere you’d like. The rest would still dispense water.
- It can’t be something that you’d bottle and offer for sale, it must be for private, in home use only. (You can share with your friends, but not sell it.)
- Something other than water.
I got an email with this very question last night, so I asked John, “What would your spigot dispense?”
He thought about it for a long time and had a hard time making the decision. He drinks three things, fairly regularly, water, milk and Mountain Dew. In the end, he did pick milk and that’s what I thought he’d pick.
Then he asked me.
I looked at him and immediately said, “Tropicana No Pulp Orange Juice at 34 degrees” (yes, I realize I’d make a perfectly good diva) to which he responded, “Yeah, I figured, it was that or coffee”.
So, given the above ground rules, what would your spigot dispense?
A little prize for your troubles - $5 gift card code to use at Target.com - winner to be chosen by Random.org. One entry per person, contest ends (and comments will be closed) at 6 PM Arizona tonight, December 17, 2008.
